Kate Testani is a woodwind player and music educator based in Fairfield County, Connecticut, specializing in musical theater and classical performance
Kate Testani is a woodwind doubler and music educator based in Fairfield County, Connecticut. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education degree and received a master’s degree in Music Pedagogy at The Hartt School. She then continued her education and received a second master’s degree in Educational Administration at The University of Bridgeport. Kate currently holds an 049 Connecticut Teaching license, certified to teach PreK-12 music, 092 Certificate of Advanced study in Educational Administration and Supervision, TEAM certified, and Kodály Level I certified.
Early in her performance career, she performed primarily classical clarinet, but has since expanded into woodwind doubling for musical theater as well as jazz saxophone. She has performed in over 40 musicals and operas in Connecticut. She has also performed in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Belgium. Kate is from the studio of Jo-Ann Sternberg, Chris Cullen, and Jonathan Blanck.
